The characteristics of the final product depend on the quality of the initial product and the process conditions (temperatures and cooking time, distillation, dehydration and granulation). In general, they concentrate between 2.2 and 3 times the content of fiber, protein, ethereal extract and ashes, in relation to the original product. The protein content is high, around 25%, so its use as a nutritional supplement for animals is extensive.

Corn DDGS are an excellent source of energy and protein for fattening cattle in all phases of production. They can be used effectively as a source of energy and feed up to 40% of the dry matter consumption of the ration for cattle in completion, with excellent growth performance and quality of the carcass and meat.

As the DDGS produced is dried, the duration of the product is very high, maintaining its nutritional properties for long time. On the other hand, being pelletized, handling and mixing with other feeds is very simple.
